Parting Line Tutorial

Hey all! Alias Design has just published my most recent tutorial. It looks at some approaches to developing parting lines around difficult edges. The workflow is robust and takes full advantage of the construction history features and makes iterating quick and painless. Check it out here.

    Hi,

    Great how-to, and I do mean that as a consequence of objective inference, :)

    However, some of the concepts employed throughout the tutorial seem to me a bit counter-intuitive… that is why I was wondering if it would be possible to share part of the 3d model used in the demo… the surfaces framed above would be more than enough.

    I was skimming through the tutorial for a second time and I realised how limp-witted I must’ve been for not figuring it out the first. No need for the files, sorry. Your kung-fu is very ‘strong’… ;)
